Additional Details:

Audion Premier Quattro 4 box valve pre amplifier.

Considered to be one of the worlds finest pre amplifiers and very rarely seen for sale. Each Audion Quattro 4 box is an intricate work of art and requires a build time of two weeks all by hand. It is totally hard [silver] wired and is a true dual mono construction.

At this time, we also both agree that this is the finest preamplifier, we are aware of, that you can purchase new or used, at any price. Accordingly, it is the only preamplifier now in "Class A"

As advised by Arthur Salvatore’s in his review and also from the Audion website the unit has been upgraded with the capacitor and stepped attenuator modifications at the factory. The cost of this work alone was nearly £3000 this upgrade was considered essential to get the best from the design and elevates the performance further still and makes it even more desirable. The unit has only had around 20 hours use since the upgrades were done so a further hundred or so hours playing time will be required to reach the full sonic potential.

I can provide serial numbers for each of the four units if you wanted to validate this with Audion.

The unit is functioning perfectly and is in very good overall condition. There are some light blemishes on the top covers where the valves are situated and where it is just blank on the power supply units but these can be very easily removed and replaced if required. At the price the unit is been offered for if it came in pieces it would still be a good deal.

I do have the original packaging and I would be able to make a very good packaging job but I would strongly advise collection in person. Due to its delicate nature I would not trust this to arrive safe and sound after been in the hands of couriers. It maybe possible for me to deliver this in person if the asking price was met, please contact me first.

As well as the eight valves that are installed a nice selection of high quality valves are included with the sale as well as the original silver wired stepped attenuators that came as stock with the unit [see picture]

The level of sound reproduction by the Audion Premier Quattro is outstanding and the phono stage is a masterpiece.

Once in a lifetime opportunity
